SUCH

Definition: Emphasis on the (adjective + noun) in the CAUSE clause.

CAUSE: It was a beautiful meteor storm. EFFECT: We watched it all nigth.

Example:

It was such a beatiful meteor storm that we watched it all night.


SO

Definition: Emphasis on the adverb or adjective in the CAUSE clause.

CAUSE: The meteor storm was a beautiful. EFFECT: We watched it all nigth.

Example:

The meteor storm was so beutiful that we watched it all night.
